It’s January and the Men’s fall collections just came to a wrap. So, that means it’s time to see what new looks designers have put out and get some ideas for 2013. It’s always good to evolve your look. I think the best thing to do when it comes to updating your wardrobe is to look for outstanding classics and acquiring two to three new pieces each season. For the 2013 Fall collections sweaters were a big trend. I really liked the simplicity that both Burberry Prorsum and Bottega Veneta brought. The styling at Burberry was what inspired me; classic pieces (white shirt, black trousers and red sweater) with a touch of edge (Leopard shoes). In a more dress-up note, Japanese designer Miharayahiro brought a slicker look with his collection. It reminded me a bit of 80s bad boys, a bit Reservoir Dogs; the dark palate with black and grey looked cool with the pops of color. Hands down one of my favorite collections was Dries Van Noten’s. His take on print and color made his collection look forward and cool; this is a collection that can work all year round. So, as the New Year settles, it's a good time to update your look.
